What are Consent Orders?
Consent orders are a type of formal arrangement that are applied for when both parties come to an agreement about parenting and/or property arrangements. Consent orders can also be utilised to change or discharge any existing family law orders. When an application is made to the Court, it considers whether the property/financial orders are just and equitable and if the parenting orders are in the best interests of the child.
